Mets win again at home 7-6

Another day at Citi Field and another win for our Mets. They really don't comprehend losing in the friendly confines of Citi Field. The Mets were down 5-0 yesterday and still clawed there way back for a victory against the Fish 7-6.

Of course the Fish helped the Mets cause by taking out starter Ricky Nolasco after only 82 pitches with 2 on and 1 out in the 5th. Manager Gonzalez mentioned after the game that Nolasco was just leaving pitches over the plate. "We've seen him better. It's a tough decision by the manager to pull one of your better starters." That's what Nolasco does at times. He likes to challenge the hitters and the Mets by mid game were up for it.

Frenchy whacked a 3 run homer to tie the game at 6 in the 7th and with the infield playing midway Pagan scored when Davis grounded into a Double play in the 8th.

Of course K Rod makes it interesting with letting Cantu Single in the top of the 9th but he got Paulino to fly out deep to Bay in left and struck out Ross who had homered earlier in the game.

The Mets are now 22-9 at home and have there 2nd 8 game home win streak . They play the Padres starting Tuesday who finish up a 4 game series with the Phillies today.
