"I'm aware of the situation. What I can tell you is that police have investigated these claims last year, and I was never charged with anything, and the case is closed. Unfortunately at this time, that's all I can say. And I have no further comments."

It came out yesterday that Mets starting pitcher Johan Santana was accused of Sexual Battery last October at a golf course in Fort Meyers, Florida, although no charges were filed.
According to TMZ, Johan was walking with the alleged victim:

when he "began to kiss her and pull up her top, unclasping her bra." _________________________________________________________________
TMZ gets a bit more graphic, but due to the sensitivity of the subject, we will not print it. You can use the above link for further information.
The police determined that "the alleged victim's statement is not consistent with other witnesses."
That relieves him from prosecution, but it does not relieve him of being involved with something he shouldn't have been involved with.
Might the incident from last October be weighing on his mind, thus causing him to pitch poorly? Could guilt or stress be the problem?
