Would you take .500 Mets baseball the rest of the way?

Most people didn’t give the Mets a chance when the season started. They felt that even though they were better then the 20 games under they were last year they weren’t a playoff team. A lot of predictions gave the Mets 80-82 wins. Well now the Mets are 9 games over .500 and can go back to 10 if they win tonight. The Mets at this point are the team in the lead for the wild card in the National League and return home where they have 24 wins .

Say for argument sake the Mets win tonight they will have 40 wins and 30 loses after 70 games. Would you take the Mets going 46 and 46 the rest of the way and finish the season with 86 wins? Or now has the bar been raised since the Mets have been playing pretty well? Take into account of course if the Mets trade for a pitcher and or Beltran comes back and contributes in a way we expect Beltran to play. Honestly some team will get hot and more then likely it will take at least 90 wins for a wild card team and I think the Mets might top out at 88. Check out our latest poll and let us know what you expect from the Mets going forward.
