The Yankees are upset but the deal is done . The Mariners have traded Cliff Lee and pitcher Mark Lowe to the Rangers who will send the Mariners there 1st baseman who was not in tonights line up Justin Smoke and pitcher Josh Luke. Also with infielder Matthew Lawson and pitching prospect Blake Bevan.
Lowe is missing the rest of the year due to back surgery . I thought players on the
DL couldnt be traded.
The Yankees felt like they had a deal but looks like the Rangers had 1 more shot at it and gave it and included Smoak. Mariners are also sending money to cover part of Lee's salary this year .
