Mets need to go for Jugular and just trade for Roy Oswalt.

Hmm Ted Lilly with his 86 mph fastball and his 3-7 record and his 6M salary or 32 year old Roy Oswalt who is coming off a 1 hitter and has a ERA hovering around 3.00 for the Astros.

The Mets want to win and don’t have what it takes to land Lee then just stop already and go after Roy Oswalt. The 32 yr old is striking out 8 per 9 innings, has been healthy year in and year out and is averaging 6+ innings a start. Yes maybe the Mets don’t want to pay his salary for next year and maybe the Astros are playing hardball right now but to me how can you go for Lee and all is upside and settle on some middle or back end rotation guy.

It makes no sense if the Mets are really serious. Get a guy who will make a difference. The Mets are playing well and the Braves have a great rotation. Minaya said that in the off season that his pitchers were just as good as the pitchers out there. Well if Oswalt is available make the deal .
