Francoeur Trade Pays Dividends

...in Mets loss to the Braves. The Mets were below abysmal in their offensive performance, which quite frankly was offensive.

Against the Braves Tommy Hanson, who hadn't won in ages, the Mets only got two hits and scored one run. Nuke LaLoosh actually got a hit (of course he also struck out) - his first in 29 AB's in Atlanta this year. Whoo! Good thing we don't have Francoeur bogging down this offense anymore.

Newly acquired Joaquin Arias got some PT...in LF. Jerry, ever the strategic idiot, put Arias, a 2B in LF in the ninth inning.

The Mets were only able to score 1 run. Tomorrow's (Thank God) finale against the Braves will pit Tim Hudson against Johan, 'I bet they won't score for me', Santana. In the first three games this series, the Mets have been outscored 21-6.

Thank God Francoeur isn't hindering this potent Mets offense anymore. With Chris Carter's stellar play in RF, Francoeur's presence will hardly be missed.

Oh yes, all pun and sarcasm intended
