According to ESPN NY.com's Adam rubin the Mets will add Right-hander Dillon Gee, left-hander Raul Valdes and first baseman/outfielder Nick Evans will be joing the team in D.C when the Mets open a series with the Nationals on Monday afternoon.
Gee (13-8, 4.96 ERA) was named Buffalo's Comeback Player of the Year. He missed 98 games in 2009 with a shoulder injury. This season, the 24-year-old right-hander leads the International League with 165 strikeouts. Gee needed to be added to the 40-man roster to be protected from the Rule 5 draft.
Evans had a decent season clubbing 23 homers and 80 runs batted in between time with the Double AA Binghamton team and the Bisons.
