Nickeas Gets First ML Start, Mejia Gets First ML Start: Mets Lineup Vs. Cubs - September 4, 2010

Today Mike Nickeas, whom we wrote about earlier this week, will make his first Major League start. Nickeas, a catcher, is considered a real solid defender, but hitting needs work. It's probably what has kept the 27 year from making the bigs. Cant' wait to see how badly Howard Johnson kills what little hitting he has...

Jenrry Mejia will make his first professional start (after starting the season in the Mets bullpen) in place of Pat Misch today. Mejia had a great outing for Buffalo, giving up five hits, one run, and striking out nine.
