Commander Sandy - New Man In Charge: Mets Not Taking Long To Make Moves

Today the Mets have been busy. Adam Rubin has been keeping us updated with such tid-bits as:

The Mets announced that Scouts Bob Johnson and Russ Bove are no longer employees of the Mets.
Johnson who was the Mets Advanced Scout was quickly scooped up by the Atlanta Braves, where he will serve in the same role.

Bove was more disappointed because he claims the Mets strung him along, and now it will be more difficult to land a job. Bove said:

"There was no communication letting us know whether we were in or out. They strung us along pretty good. I don't care I'm fired, but to do it on Nov. 1, after the contracts ran out, is totally unprofessional and unprecented. I talked to a million people and they never heard of that. To not be able to talk to othe clubs and leave us hanging is pretty low. But I can understand a new guy comes in and wants to bring in his own people."

In other news, Rubin just reported that Razor Shines is out. Shines was aware of this "a while ago."

Lastly, for now, the Mets have released their ticket prices for 2011. Good luck in figuring it out. Thanks to MetsPolice for the info: The Mets have added this to there site as of Wednesday.
