Starting Pitchers Free agents- Mets could use one.

As the hot stove rolls nearer the Saturday deadline for teams to have exclusive rights to players , I have compiled a list of starting pitchers and their options and age etc. Now forgive me if its not perfect but I think its pretty close to what is out there.

The Mets might not be up for Cliff Lee but they will need a innings eater while Santana is rehabbing.  The Mets could go after a Jon Garland who had a pretty good 2010. The Mets could have had him last year but choose to ignore him. There is Bronson Arroyo but more then likely he might have his option picked up. **Which of course was just picked up by the Reds**

Since the Mets might not be spending alot of the Wilpons cash this off season, let us know who you think might be a good “cheap” option for the Mets.

I think they should push for Webb. And Jesse Cain is a great option for bullpen.

Jon Garland refused option in SD and is a free agent. Would be a real nice pick up, but believe he doesn't want to come to the East.

no one on the list excites Jobu. we need nuke laloosh, ricky vaughn, eddie harris, or even rube baker.
