Tejada To Buffalo: Mets Make Roster Moves - Cut 11
Today the Mets made their first set of roster moves of the spring.
It was announced this morning that the following will be re-assigned to the minor leagues:
Ruben Tejada - SS/2B - will most likely be called up for either 2B or as the new Mets SS if Reyes is moved during the summer (lets hope not!).
Pitchers:
Josh Stinson
Tobi Stoner - suffering from an impingement of his rotator cuff
Manny Alvarez
John Lujan
Armando Rodriguez
Outfielders:
Fernando Martinez
Kirk Nieuiwenhuis
Infielders:
Zach Lutz - played a very smooth/fluid 3B. Hopefully Wright was paying attention
Jordany Valdespin
Catcher: Kai Gronauer
With these moves, the Mets roster now stands at 45. Twenty more cuts before the Mets come north. The roster can be cut by two more if they would just cut ties with Castillo and Perez.
