Dont let the players see the papers now. They might want there money upfront. According to the Ny Post, the Mets are looking for another handout. Right now there working with Chase in trying to get another loan to help them pay operating expenses. Operating expenses would include salaries to players.
The Wilpons are basically looking for cash to cover them until they can get someone in and buy part of the team. Chase is looking for other banks to work with them and the Wilpons on this next loan. Right now the Debt is just over 500M with the Mets worth over 800M according to Forbes.
The Mets are losing $$ but still probably be able to land another loan. Of course nothing like going to the bank and saying hey. I am hemorrhaging 50M a year can I have more? Of course since I am sure MLB is pressuring the banks to assist this will of course happen . I have a better idea Fred ...Sell the team!!!!!
