Wright Out Of Lineup - Stress Fracture In Lower Back, Pelf Pitching, Paulino Catching: Mets Lineup V. Marlins - May 16, 2011
In addressing the media this afternoon, Sandy Alderson said that David Wright will not be in the lineup due to a stress fracture in his lower back. Wright had an MRI at the Hospital For Special Surgery (HSS). Wright will get another opinion from a back specialist also from HSS. Elvis said that Wright will most likely be DL'd for 14 days. No surgery is expected.
They believe the injury occurred on the collision with Carlos Lee earlier in the season. Wright is not in the lineup, but is still in uniform is needed.
In his place, Willie Harris will get the start at 3RD and bat 2nd.
Mike Pelfrey looking for his fourth solid outing in his last five starts with Ronny Paulino as his catcher.
