Justin Turner carries Mets to 7-4 win

No it wasnt Carlos Beltran or Jason Bay. Heck it wasn't the strikeout kid David Wright who stole the show yesterday in Houston. It was 2nd baseman fill in Justin Turner.

Turner, who is getting more playing time now with Ike Davis on the shelf pop a 3 run bomb and doubled home 2 runs fo a 5 rbi day in the Mets 7-4 win yesterday in open field Minute Maid park.

The Mets were holding there hopes that rule 5 pick Brad Emaus was the guy who would carry the Mets from second base. Of course we know that how that turned out.

Before yesterday's game Mets 2nd baseman's over the first had the worse production over 39 games then any other team in MLB.  Turner of course whacked in 5 runs in the course of game .

The 26 year old was a wire pick up last year and Mets bench coach Ken Oberkfell has song the praises of Turner since he was his manager at Buffalo last year.

Very nice game for Turner as the Mets now head home for a 4 game home stand.  The Mets are now over .500 on the road like to now work there majic at cavernous Citi Field.
