Long Time Hiatus, EY In Lineup, Mets Look To Rebound After Dreadful Loss: Mets Lineup Vs. Nationals - July 27, 2013

The Mets look to rebound from a dreadful loss last in yesterday's nightcap, when LaTroy Hawkins gave up the game winning HR to Zimmerman.

Once again Matt Harvey pitched wonderfully, going 8 innings, walking 1 and striking out 7, all while allowing no earned runs. Harvey's ERA now stands at an impressive 2.29.

In the first game, the Mets welcomed back Jenrry Mejia, who pitched an outstanding game en route to a Mets pummeling of the Nats, 11-0. Daniel Murphy had two HR's and five RBI to spark the Mets.

Today the Mets welcome back Eric Young Jr, who sat out both games with a sore knee after a horrific collision with Braves pitcher Tim Hudson, who broke his ankle and will have surgery on Wednesday night.

We apologize to the many three people who regularly visit this site; the last month plus have been more insanely busy for myself and my counterpart, who with work and family responsibilities have had very little time to post. This spring/summer has been hectic in the metsfan73 household, with eldest child, mersfan97 graduating from high school and going through the Freshman Fanfare that all new college students must endure, has limited any

free time.

Although not posting since the middle of June, longislandmetfan and I have kept close watch on the Mets, and will continue to do so.

So, without further adieu, here is today's Mets lineup Vs. the Nationals (3:05 on Fox):

1.  Young - LF
2.  Murphy - 2B
3.  Wright - 3B
4.  Byrd - RF
5.  Davis - 1B
6.  Buck - C
7.  Lagares - CF
8.  Quintanilla - SS
9.  Gee - RSP
