Not too long ago they was a Minnesota Twin pitcher begging to be traded. The Mets at the time were rumored to be involved but didn’t want to give up key players in a trade.
Well early in Feb Santana was a Met and now the Twins have nothing on there major league roster to show for it.
If you read Bill Prices's latest column which you see here there is some chatter the Mets might be gearing up to fly under the radar again and land Halladay. The Mets are set to stock up on some catchers . They are still trying to lock up Henry Blanco and the rumors have been out there that the Mets have high interest in another ole fogey Molina. Of course that leaves Santos out. Does that mean he will be in the wings since Josh Thole will be part of a blockbuster trade to land Roy Boy?
I don’t think the Mets want to commit to what it will cost to land Halladay with what they have already invested in Santana. Plus the Mets have some gaping holes in the power department. We Mets fans can dream right?
