Mets Hitting Gets Into Groove, But Pitching Grooves One Too Many...

Its tough, when you think everything is working for a change, and something comes along and puts you right back where you started.

When was the last time the Mets had 2 games in a row with at least 14 hits?

When was the last time they came back from 4 runs down? Not this year.

Besides Beltran, who looks like he needs a rest, and Schneider who just cant hit, the Mets attacked the Cardinals pitching.

They didn’t let the 4 runs that Pedro gave up, put them down, and they came back.

Wow ! It was nice to see clutch hitting, hits with 2 outs, and Carlos Delgado providing a key hit to tie the score.

Then, Aaron Heilman hits a batter in the 8th, bring on Pedro Feliciano, and boom, there goes the lead.

Carlos Muniz in the 9th, and boom, Troy Glaus with another home run.

It was a good game. When I heard Aaron was coming back to start the 8th, I got nervous. He had a good month in June, but, he really didn’t pitch in close games. I was like, here we go…and then it went…
