Mets by the Numbers #12 Ron Darling.

The Mets have an off day today so we can take a day to relax kick back and decide who was the one Met player that we can see being the best all around player that wore #12

My guess is that we will see Ron Darling pulling down the number off the outfield before Tuesday’s night game. He did wear other numbers as a Met but spent most of his tenure as #12.
Other candidates include John Stearns, Ken Boswell and some guy named Willie Randolph. Hmm what are the odds Gump might pull the number down?

John Stearns was a good player on a bad team. He was a bulldog behind the plate when he needed to block it.
