First The Cat, Now The Archbishop…

Newly appointed Archbishop of NY, Timothy Dolan, was asked about our NY baseball teams. The Archbishop, who will attend the opening of Yankee Stadium on Thursday, and will be at GHMP on Friday (along with Metsfan73, Long Island Met Fan, and JOBU), is from St. Louis and had Milwaukee as his adopted home.

The new leader of NY’s Catholic Church had this to say (with a smile),
"When the Cardinals and Brewers [are playing], that's between me and my confessor."

The Archbishop, upon seeing a ‘well-wisher’ with a Cardinals cap, said,
"That's my idea of a 'cardinal' hat."

This season has had some ominous signs early on: two errors, one by Murphy in LF, another by the sure handed Church in RF, that contributed to Met losses;;a balk that decided a game, 58 men LOB in seven games; a cat on the field, and now the Archbishop. What next, a ladder on the pitcher’s mound?
