The Mets lost last night 6-5 and also I think you got a glimpse of the fans that will be seeing the Mets play early this season. A bit like LA where they arrive late and leave early.
Over at Newsday Wallace Matthews , who never seems happy about anything discusses how fans were leaving after the 6th inning. They are not fans Wallace. They are the ones who have the tickets for status purposes. They are not the ones who will be in the seats in the middle of the summer if the team is hovering around.500. Some of the Met die hards were there last night I am sure of it. Shea Nu will be packed witth them soon in those same seats.
SO you might not hear the full cheer of Lets go Mets this week . There will be a time soon when the place will stay packed throughout the game. It will be once the status people move on to something else and real Met fans take there place.
