Wilpon: Mets Hall of Fame in the Works

While spending time in the JR rotunda yesterday Fred Wilpon mentioned to reporters that there is a plan to open up a Mets Hall of Fame in Center field . It is in the works he said. Awesome great! My question is why is it not already there?

The Mets have been around for over 45 years and maybe they do not have the storied history that the Yankees have but the Mets deserve there own all of fame. Not sure why Wilpon obviously see it as an after thought.

He put all his heart in to harking back to his youth and made a beautiful rotunda. Will he put the same heart into a Mets hall of fame?

You're preaching to the choir! I have been saying it all along, and we mentioned it when we attended the game against the Red Sox. How cool would it be to see such greats as: Bruce Boisclair, Gary Raijisch, George Theodore, Jerry Cram, Doug Sisk, Jeff Musselman, Mel Rojas, Harry Parker, and the likes?
Seriously, this is long overdue, and I agree, this should have preceded the Rotunda, not followed it.
