Mets Take Rubber Game

The Mets today defeated the Washington Nationals 7-0, taking two of three from their divisional rivals.

Livan Hernandez continues to impress, pitching seven innings, rendering four hits and no runs.

Ryan Church returned to the line-up going 2-5.

Fernando Martinez, still feeling his way, went 1-5, with a double that knocked in the first Mets run.

David Wright, who looks like he is once again starting to bust out of his slump went 2-3 with one RBI and two walks.
