Mets To Finally Acknowledge History

According to Bart Hubbuch - NY Post - Twitter , the Mets said they are constructing large photos of Mets players throughout their history. This will be on display in the promenade and field sections.

Replicas of their Championship Banners will also be on display on the leftfield wall.

Always a day late and a dollar short, but at least they are finally making an effort to pay homage to their team.

The direct quotes from Hubbuch's Tweets are:

"Acknowledging the fan backlash, the #Mets said today they are constructing large photos of famous players in team history."

"The photos of famous players and major moments in club history will be displayed on the Field and Promenade levels. #Mets
"

"The #Mets also will be placing replicas of their championship banners on the left-field wall."

This I'd like to see, but I'm not planning on going back until October. Maybe it's a gimic to get people in the door.

But I sure hope they don't screw this up like they did when they built the stadium. I like how it was burried in a press release with the ugly throwback jerseys (talk about screwing something up).
