Mets sign minor leaguer. Quiet in Mets camp

As per Adam Rubin the Mets signed Mike Hessman to a minor league deal Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post mentions a prorated contract where he will make $425K in the Majors Hessman, 32 in March, hit .217 in 548 plate appearances for the Tigers' Triple A affiliate, playing mostly at the infield corners.

The wheels are turning in the Tigers camp who are working on a deal trading Curtis Granderson.

Mets have a meeting tonight with the agent of John Lackey.
