The Mets had a nice performance today against the Detroit Tigers. Oliver Perez pitched four innings surrendering no hits, no runs, two walks, and no strikeouts.
The Mets limited the Tigers four hits and one run in a 9-1 trouncing.
The Mets bats came alive in the seventh inning where they hit four home-runs. The mashers for the Mets were Wright (3), Murphy (1), Bay (1), and Matthews (2).
The wind was blowing out to right field, and the Mets hitter took advantage of it.
Bay hit his first HR as a Met...I know it's only Spring Training, but I'll take it.
Jenrry Mejia gave up three hits and a run before striking out the side to end the game.
Tomorrow the Mets take on the Marlins.
