The great Japanese shortstop was Kaz Matsui. The SS/2B was Jose.
I just don't get the mental retardation that envelops this team.

Actually while i don't agree with him batting third, i don't agree with him leading off. He's never had the best patience in the world, though he makes up for it in other ares.
However, given our team, and our managers tendencies to too often, bunt with the two guy as currently constituted, i think we should have Castillo lead off. Castillo is a singles hitter with a good OBP and enough speed to get the job done, Jose can actually drive the ball and drive in runs.
