The Mets bring back there regular lineup in the first game of a 3 game set against the Reds. Of course the Mets face a pitcher they have never faced in right hander Mike Leake. He is 2-0 so far with 3.25 ERA Some good info below on the 22 year old courtesy of Adam Rubin over at ESPN New York
Leake was a former teammate of Ike Davis at Arizona State, has pitched into the seventh inning in each of his four major league starts. He has a pretty good curveball.
Ollie P is 0-2 with a ERA of 4.35 After his last start he was protected by Dan Warthen.
Warthen actually said that the cold hampered Ollie’s ability to feel for his pitches. What will Ollie use as an excuse tonight when the temperature is a bit more seasonable?
Ollie is 9-5 with a 4.54 ERA against the Reds in his career.
