The Mets will need a track of all trades for there bullpen in 2011. New GM Sandy Alderson made this statement: “Hisanori wanted to test the free agent market. We thank Hisanori ... & wish him good luck in his future major league career .
The Mets wanted to resign Taka to a 1 year deal. With his new agent the former Met was trying to obtain something more in the tune of a 3 year deal and the Mets new GM Alderson said no thanks.
Of course Taka doesn't have the track record in the Majors to land a 3 year deal but you know teams are going to try to sign the most consistent pitcher the Mets had in the bullpen.
