The Mets will play 2 games tomorrow and Terry Collins will hit the road for one of them. Mets will be home against the Nationals and a split squad will be going to play the Astros and Oliver Perez will be on the mound. Terry Collins plans to take the bus ride and watch Oliver pitch .
Collins said during the Mets game against the Tigers which they lost 2-1 that he wants to watch, first hand, Oliver pitching. He wants to see some life to fastball since it has topped out in the mid 80's so far. Perez needs to show some more Mph on his fastball during this contest. Collins was uncommittal to givining Ollie another start after this game against the Astros.
This could be the last start for sir Ollie and for most fans its been enough already watching this guy parade around like he belongs . Not sure if Ollie will be released after the game but you can count if he has a horrible outing he will be relgated to maybe getting some work out of the bullpen if he can keep his control. Ollie has come full circle since his game 7 on short rest in the NLCS in 2006.
Look for the Mets to sent Chris Capuano to the mound against the Nationals at home in Pt St Lucie.
