The Mets have placed Ike Davis on the DL today. They are brining up Fernando Martinez. F Mart is on the 40 man roster. Mets have now have a over crowded outfield . Lucas Duda who played first is nursing an injury.
Nick Evans would be the most logical choice but he is not on the 40 man roster and would have to clear waivers once shipped back to Buffalo and then he could become a free agent. Also Evans hasnt been hitting much at Buffalo lately.
