Mets Sweep Of Twins Averted

The Mets chances of sweeping the Twins was thwarted due to game being canceled due to a wintry mix of rain and snow.

The make-up will be played of the off day of August 19th at 1:30.

Yesterday the Mets were helped out again by the stellar performance of Matt Harvey who is quickly becoming the staff ace. Harvey pitched 6.2 innings of no hit ball until Justin Morneau rung one off the foul pole.

Marlon Byrd went yard to continue the Mets HR streak of 11 straight games.

The Mets will shuffle off to hot and balmy Colorado to take on the Rockies starting tomorrow.
