
Luis Ayala, signed late late season by the Mets ( Read here - August 18, 2008), who later became the closer after Billy Wagner went down with season ending elbow surgery, signed with the Minnesota Twins.
The Twins signed Ayala to a one year $1.3M contract. There is another $575K that Ayala can earn in incentives.
Joe Longo, Ayala's agent said, "He's happy to go in there [with the Twins] and fight for that setup job."
